Avi was educated at Rutgers University where he double majored in Psychology and Biology. After that, he earned his degree in dentistry from the New York University College of Dentistry. Avi Weisfogel wanted to be close to family and friends, so he opened his first dental practice in New Jersey. He named it Old Bridge Dental Care. He was a beloved dental practitioner. His patients named him the best local dentist many years in a row.

Avi wanted to find a way to help more people. Many of his patients came to him with complaints about sleep apnea. Avi considered this sleep disorder to be an epidemic that was reducing the quality of life of many people in America. Avi decided to research the problem, and he founded Healthy Heart Sleep, a program that aimed to measure the scope of sleep disorders across society. This ultimately led Avi to create Dental Sleep Masters. He is best known for being one of the world’s leading educators on sleep apnea and related problems. He trains dental professionals in how to diagnose and treat these problems with a few simple tools readily at their disposal.

Avi has the philanthropist itch. He supports Operation Smile. This charity helps children around the globe who suffer from cleft palate. It sends doctors from more than 80 countries to areas where children suffer from this problem at epidemic levels and gives them life changing surgery for free. Avi provides support to dental professionals who go out into the field to operate on these children. Avi also maintains a twitter profile where he covers global health issues and strives to educate the public on them.
